Hello and welcome to my online gallery/Fourth Wall Page, my artist name is Æzlynd Wanderin, pronounced eh-zlind wander-in, though I usually just go by Æzlynd or just Æz, which is pronounced ehz. Æzlynd is a combination of the names Aslain, meaning vision, and Lind, meaning beautiful, but with an old English spelling. Together they mean ‘Beautiful Vision’. This denotes my desire to create beautiful visions for others to view. Wanderin is a modern German word meaning a female hiker; which celebrates my love of nature and of trails.
I am a self taught artist who has been studying the creation of art off and on since I was seven years old. I started out with teaching myself to draw and have recently graduated into painting. I obviously love hiking and I take my own photographs to use as references for my paintings. For every painting I produce there are probably a dozen in my photo file. I have considered making my blog about my hiking but I don’t get to go on the trails as much as I would like to and I have a hard time talking about my personal life. On the other hand, however, part of the reason I have decided to sell online is to help myself break out of my shell a bit.
I currently produce oil paintings of landscapes but you might see other types of paintings as well in the future. I also currently only have small paintings available but am working on producing some larger paintings as well. I may also include some drawings in the future as that was where I came from in the art world. I have no degree, only my experience, and I have yet to enter my paintings in any contests.
For my landscapes, my hope is that when my viewers look at one of my paintings it makes them wish they could step through the frame and become part of the scene. I want them to feel like the painting calls to them and for them to long to merge with the painting. I hope that they will inspire both daydreams and travel plans. I will add information about the other types of paintings I create as I begin to post them.

I offer my paintings for sale as originals and merchandise items, such as mugs, on Fourthwall here and as giclee prints on Fine Art America here, so that there is something available within the spending range of most people.
My originals are priced high because there is only one of each and therefore they are unique despite the many reproductions that may be made of them.
My prints and merchandise items, which as reproductions are not unique, are priced at a more affordable range.
I had thought about offering prints on Fourthwall, since I sell my originals there, however I find that Fine Art America has better quality and better selection when it comes to prints. Plus Fine Art America will let the customer purchase a unique frame for their selection as well.
