Lovers Point is a beautiful rocky jetty along the California shoreline near Monterey. On the particular day in late May depicted in this painting, the wind coming in from the ocean started picking up, causing the waves and the surf swell and jump, and turning the clouded sky into a jumbled mess. The water of the Pacific Ocean was an incredibly bright blue that day; I especially wanted to capture that when I painted this, and I hope this mesmerizes you as much as it did me.
‘Lovers Point’ is painted using professional-grade oil paints on an 8-inch x 10-inch canvas board and mounted in a 10-inch x 12-inch floater frame. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity and a provenance report.

There are two barely noticeable spots of dark blue that are partially hidden by the frame on the right edge of the painting.
